The longtable package in LaTeX is wonderful, but it does have some bugs. I have modified the code to fix (as far as I can tell) the following bugs:
- tools/2796: longtable: nearly empty page before longtable
- tools/3396: Bad page break forced by longtable
- tools/3479: Last page of longtable does not stretch
- tools/3488: Empty footnote after page ending with longtable
- tools/3509: longtable starting at page boundary adds extra glue
- tools/3510: longtable baselines do not line up at page bottoms
- tools/3511: longtable does not respect maxdepth
- tools/3512: single-page longtable below float clobbers \pagegoal
